We are developing a quantitative efficacy platform which allows us to determine the downstream response via the G-alpha pathway of ligands targeting GPCRs. With our technology the receptor remains in the apo state unlike other assay formats where high G-alpha concentration introduce a bias. Furthermore, our technology allows to find the dominant G-alpha and is also applicable to orphan receptors and receptors where the primary G-alpha is not known. The technology is being tested in detecting agonists, partial agonists, inverse agonist, PAMs and NAMs and proved to be able to detect ligands with micromolar affinities to the receptor.
