The problem

Membrane proteins represent the majority of drug targets. Their structure and function are critically dependent on the successful preservation of their native environment. This renders membrane proteins notoriously difficult to study with other membrane free methods.

How we solve the problem

Instead of adopting membrane proteins to a membrane-free environment, spending tremendous efforts of building a surrogate environment or trying to stabilize them to sustain in an artificial environment, InSingulo’s dISA technology allows keeping membrane proteins throughout the whole experimental workflow in the right lipid-based environment: the native cell membrane.

To speed up the assay develop time dramatically and keep the lipid environment as native as possible, we have developed procedures that allows us to derive target containing liposomes directly from the cells. Thereby, we avoid any purification step and do not make any attempt to mimic the lipid composition of the cell membrane since we preserve it.

InSingulo’s dISA technology allows keeping membrane proteins throughout the whole experimental workflow in the right lipid-based environment: the native cell membrane.
